Hi! I’m Bob De Wilde.
For 9 years, I designed and engineered machines and consumer products at one of Barcelona’s leading product design agencies. I just loved taking a client’s idea from doodle to fully-functioning prototype, and then see them hold it in their hands for the first time!
However, it was also devastating when a product didn’t make it to market afterwards.
I discovered that a lot of startups fall into the solution trap: they fall in love with their idea, and become blind to any other possible solution that might be better for their customer’s needs. They are confident the little customer research they have done is enough, don’t want to spend more time and money on it, and only find out way too late that they have missed the mark.
Wanting to help founders avoid those pitfalls, anywhere I would go, I would advise product creators on Customer-Centric Design Thinking and Product-Market Fit. I found out I had a knack for it, and started teaching Strategic Design and developing my own tools.
The tools that gave the best results became methods, and the best methods became the workshops that I now offer to startups and scaleups!
