These 4 templates are part of the Adelantum Method for finding the ideal Use Case and Customer Segment for your solution.
Your ideal Use Case, is the situation (or problem scenario) where your solution will have the biggest impact and the highest chance of success. This will depend on how desperate your customer is for a better solution, how well you can fulfill that need, without inadvertently creating new problems for the other people involved, and if this all makes sense financially as well.
The tools can be used consecutively, or independently.
1. The Use Case Map + 2. The Stakeholder-Problem Map
Start with writing 3-4 potential Use Cases for your solution/concept/idea. Then identify all the Stakeholders involved in that Use Case, and consider how they will be affected by your solution.
Though your solution aims to solve problems, it might inadvertently also create problems for some Stakeholders, which might create barriers for the adoption of your solution.
3. Customer-Problem Fit Evaluation Form (+ Questionnaire)
For each “problem solved” in the Stakeholder-Problem Map, fill out a Customer-Problem Fit Evaluation to further explore the Use Case from that Stakeholder’s perspective. This will help you get a deep understanding of the needs and frustrations of your Customer (and of the other Stakeholders).
Fill it out based on your assumptions first, then use the questionnaire to validate those assumptions through interviews or surveys.
4. The Adelantum Expanded Canvas

Fill out one canvas for each identified use case to determine the strength of its business case.
This canvas is based on the Lean Canvas and Business Model Canvas, but with additional sections and evaluation criteria to help you determine which use case makes most sense from a business perspective.
